Two Senegalese teenagers decide to head for Italy to try their luck in Europe. A turbulent journey of initiation fraught with obstacles that gives a voice to those who usually have none.
"Think about becoming a big star. White people will be asking you for autographs!". Two cousins, Seydou and Moussa, secretly decide to leave Senegal for Italy. They cross the world to make their dreams come true. With their innocence and purity, like Pinocchio sneaking away from his mother then leaving Gepetto, this crazy journey will teach them all about the dangers of life. Seen through their eyes, this painful coming-of-age tale is a geographical and emotional adventure that really makes the viewer think. The soundtrack is composed by Andrea Farri, and features Seydou Sarr. The film's lead, who was awarded Best Newcomer at Venice, is also a musician.
