For this new project, the artist and documentary maker Patricia Echeverria Liras travels across the desolate terrain of destroyed lands. In search of the stories of those whose lives have been shattered by the loss of their homes, she painstakingly documents their memories to reconstruct the most accurate representations possible using photogrammetry and virtual reality. She carefully conceals the subjects themselves, leaving us to focus on the physical aspects of our memories. Viewers are flooded with the emotion of these invisible witnesses and their vanished homes, like ghosts they cannot help but mourn.
